My Job is So Small Town–Provides Little Opportunity

Nick Gillespie on Obama, Tennessee, and small towns:

Hart predicts that small-town-dwellers all over this land will reject Obama. Whole thing there.

Note: From 2000 to 2006, Tennessee’s population growth was slower than the U.S. average, so folks are volunteering, but not at a breakneck pace.

We don’t do anything at breakneck pace, except for possibly neck breaking.

But what do you think, gentle Hit & Run readers, is Mrs. Obama fair game? Will Obama pay a price for his alleged elitism? Do people really choose to live in small towns?

Let me take a crack at these.

1)  Yes, but…

2)  Yes, but why worry about that?  It’s not like an inconsequential state like Tennessee could cost a candidate an election, right Al?

3)  That may be the most ignorant thing ever posted on Reason.  Aren’t you guys supposed to be smart?  Isn’t that why I read your site?  Talk about elitism…

Yet another example of how people who live in LosWashingYork simply don’t get it.  Statements like that make me want to stay home, clinging desperately to religion and guns, and wait for them to start eating one another.
